WiFi
What happens on tour stays on tour. This used to be the saying. Now it’s more about what happens on tour, needs to be shared! Plug in, and tune out, with free WiFi on Cosmos Coaches (some of the more remote regions we visit don’t have WiFi coverage…an invitation to recline and relax), and most hotels offer free connection in the lobby.
Transport
Imagine a premium movie theatre. Soft, semi-reclining lounge seats, sophisticated sound system and air conditioning. That’s our coaches, except the main show isn’t happening on screen in front of you, it’s happening outside the panoramic windows. We call it wide-screen life. Our priority is for you to relax on our remarkable rides. When not in our coaches, we find ways that make getting from A to B full of awe-stonishment, from overnight Aegean cruise ships to spectacular train rides. You’ll never find yourself queuing in cable car ticket lines, or stressing about making it to the ferry on time. Travelling is about being set free. Our job is to take all the logistics and planning off your hands, making it easy to go out there and live the good life.
Tipping
Cosmos offers passengers the ability to pre-pay their Tour Director and Driver gratuities before departure in select destinations. A per-person base rate is offered for your specific holiday to conveniently provide gratuities for your Tour Director and Driver (excluding Local Guides and other personnel). You can pre-purchase gratuities at the time of booking online or over the phone, or they can be added after booking. NOTE: Tips to Local Guides are included in pre-paid gratuities in South America. Europe, Australia and New Zealand tours are excluded from pre-paid gratuities, but you are welcome to offer tips directly on tour.
Check-Ins to Hotel on Day One of the Trip
Check your travel documents to find out more on your starting hotel, for details on where to go and how to get there. Sometimes tours join and start on the same day, so please check your documents clearly and let the magical experience begin. Check-in can often begin the night before the tour starts, with a Tour Director (your knowledgeable friend from start to end) being on hand that afternoon to answer any questions, so you can live it and love it, knowing you’re not going to miss a beat.
Travel Photography
Your trip will have memories you’ll want to re-live again and again (that’s our aim), and photography is one way to tell a thousand words in a single shot. But bystanders may not always want to be the star of your show. Always ask permission before filming or taking photos – which may also be restricted in museums, churches and shows. If in doubt, ask your Tour Director, they’re your friend in the know.
